encompass all aspects of magazine and book design, internet sites,
e-commerce setup, digital photography in studio and on location, corporate
collateral
materials,
magazine and newspaper advertisements, trade show booth graphics, large format
layouts, brochures and direct mail campaign materials. Experienced in job estimating,
photography, magazine and book production cycles and deadlines, 4-color scanning
and setup of internet site servers for hosting purposes.

Responsible for client projects from initial contact to printed/internet material.

Head Graphic Artist/Pre-press and Design Manager:
Create design concepts of corporate collateral, advertisements, newsletters,
business cards, letterhead, brochures, magazines and illustrated books through
interface with clients. Maintain corporate internet site via FrontPage. Produce
final layouts on Macintosh and PC through page layout programs. Scanning of
flatbed photos and artwork with on-screen color correction and retouching for
final films. Oversee all design and prepress work from design department.
QRS
INCORPORATED, Pittsburgh, PA
Senior Graphic Artist/Illustrator:
Generate initial design concepts for corporate collateral and magazines. Trap
and output approved layouts on Agfa image setter films for full color digital
and conventional presses. Design and implement corporate internet pages. Color
correct and retouch scanned photo images. Managed two other employees in this
department.
Experience with large format printing.

Graphic Designer/Internet Designer:
Create from initial conception to final printed piece corporate collateral,
brochures, shelf-talkers, magazines, envelopes, internet/intranets and interactive
CD's. Received Best of Print Honors from Printing Guild for Wal-Mart store
shelf-talkers.

Staff Artist:
Assist in design and production of newspaper, television and radio advertisements.
Involved in projects from initial concept to camera-ready art. Interned for
no salary while still in school, hired after graduation.

Four years active service, four years inactive service. Honorable Discharge.
